Whenever u create a shortcut or a set up creates a shortcut, created shortcut has a extension of .lnk. It has an arrow on down-left side indicating that it is a shortcut so that u can easily differentiate between original file and its short cut. Can You Delete It ?

What if u delete this arrow key, then u will not be able to differentiate between original file and its shortcut. It involves a registry trick. I will tell u how to do this.

Open the registry editor.

Locate the key in the registry named lnkfile in HKCR. delete its value named IsShortcut as Shown.

You need to restart your computer to see the changes you made or simply log off.
